We're in the city of Atlanta in the woods, on the river and only a few minutes from the new Braves stadium. There are tons of restaurants, bars, concert venues and other things to do in Atlanta so come explore! Here's a list of a few of my favorite things to do in the A!

  • PONCE CITY MARKET (PCM): The folks who developed the Chelsea Market in NYC developed a very similar venue, Ponce City Market in Midtown Atlanta. There's tons of restaurants and shopping including Anthropologie, Mountain High, and Frye Boots. My favorite restaurants there include Botiwalla (Indian cuisine), Minero (Mexican), Hops (fried chicken y'all), El Super Pan (Cuban)!
  • KROG STREET MARKET: Think of it as a classy food court. Grab the garlic fries at Fred's and an ice cream from Jeni's! My personal favorite flavor is the Brambleberry crisp.
  • THE BELTLINE: This is a work in progress rail-to-trail system that is currently on the east side of town. You can rent a bike near Krog Street and bike all the way to Piedmont Park. It's a great way to get some exercise and see the city without having to sit in traffic!

  • THE SILVER COMET: This is another rail to trail project that runs from Smyrna all the way to Alabama! This trail goes over old rail bridges and through tunnels-great views of the woods. A really unique experience. You can even rent bikes at a little shop not too far from the start.

  • DRINKS: In Vinings, I love walking to Meehan's with Lou for a beer. Figo is also great for a cocktail-their margaritas are low sugar and so tasty. Another really fun bar with games and great people watching is Ormsby's on the Westside. At PCM, there's a place called Biltong Bar that sells jerky-just go and get a cocktail. They change them out regularly so find your favorite!

  • ANTIQUES: Scott's Antique Market is one of two in the country where some of the world's best pickers go to find some major goods. It's hosted the last weekend of the month and about $5 to get in. SO worth it even just to look. I've found most of my vintage cowboy boots there, cowhide chairs, silver, and old Coca-Cola loot. They also have furniture, lighting-the works!

  • MUSEUMS & MONUMENTS: We have a lot of history here. You can see Margaret Mitchell's home, the church where MLK spoke, the High Museum for art, the World of Coke, the Aquarium and Fernbank for natural history. Some of the universities have exhibits and speakers regularly so check the social boards! In Vinings, there are plenty of signs about historic battle events that happened here, just down from our front door. The Old Vinings Inn used to be a filling station back when Vinings is where people in the city of Atlanta had summer homes here. Crazy right?

  • PARKS & FESTIVALS: Piedmont, Candler, Chastain, Ansley-we've got some of the best parks around. Piedmont and Chastain host major concerts and festivals throughout the year and Chastain is right near my favorite concert venue on the planet-Chastain Park Amphitheater. It's an ivy-covered, open air venue where you can BYOB and food to the shows!

  • GET OUTSIDE: We live in Vinings, a neighborhood of Atlanta that has the best of everything. We've got the river, the woods-even a bamboo forest! There's miles of trails all around us and you can even book a fly fishing trip with one of the local guides-just let me know you're interested and I can put you in touch with someone!

  • SERENBE & PLAYS: Serenbe is an AMAZING planned, new urbanist farm community about an hour south of the city. There's a playhouse located there that puts on the most fun shows you'll ever see. Most of the plays are outside and are actually interactive moving plays where you move with the crew to different sets. Last year we went and saw the Snow Queen and Sleepy Hollow-the latter being the favorite.
