Magnolia Love-Book Review

Surprisingly, I had never watched a single episode of Fixer Upper on HGTV before I bought this book. I don't spend much time watching tv at all, mostly movies if anything, but I do love Instagram. I've been following Joanna Gaines on Instagram for ages and love her aesthetic. I would define her design style as clean and modern rustic. Honestly, I'd love for her and Chip to renovate our house. I was worried this book would be annoyingly sappy or just talk about the show but I was pleasantly surprised. For the most part, the book goes over their struggles as an entrepreneurial couple. The reader gains insight into how much Chip played a role in getting them into all different types of projects and businesses but also how they got themselves into some very scary financial pickles. It's definitely a book that left me feeling like if I wanted to do something bad enough, I should give it a try. That being said, I'm Type A and clutchy as hell with my money so I'm not opening up my restaurant or B&B just yet. Overall, great weekend read. Now if I could just get my hair to look like hers...

I'm hoping that very soon I'll have an opportunity to be in Texas and if that should happen, I'm planning on stopping in Waco to check out all of the renovated homes and their store at The Silos. Keep checking in-more book reviews and adventures coming soon!
