Intro to Minimalism-The Curated Closet Book Review

I've been really interested in minmalism for the past year or so and have come across tons of blogs and books and Youtube channels dedicated to the topic. Although I don't think I could ever really be a true minimalist, I'm dedicated to being a solid mediumist. Yes, I've coined a term. If we're looking for a Nordic alternative, we could say 'lagom,' which is a Swedish word for 'just the right amount.' Kind of wonderful isn't it? Anyway, I've been trying to focus on what I have rather than what I don't and figuring out ways to update things in my life rather than replace them.

This book could almost be considered a workbook. The goal of the book is that by the time you finish reading and completing the exercises outlined within it, you'll have come to terms with what your lifestyle truly requires of your wardrobe. I won't lie, I didn't do all of the exercises (like taking a picture of what I wore every day for a month to get an idea of what I actually where vs what I think I wear), but they did get me thinking. Long story short, only keep things you love and actually wear. And when buying new pieces, make sure that they're great quality and fit your needs, not your fleeting wants. If you're really dedicated to becoming a minimalist or a mediumist like me, this might me something you look into. Also, I would watch this documentary on Netflix, as well.

Have you been enjoying the reviews? What are you reading these days?!
