Letting Go

I said I was going to finish the Food for Thought series so here we are. A year later...

I'm not big on New Years Resolutions but I do love setting goals. So this year, my one major, overarching goal is: BE. BETTER.

I want to be better at everything this year. I want to be more conscious of my food choices, cook more challenging dishes more regularly, make time to exercise, disconnect sometimes, declutter my life and simplify, stop buying anything that I don't really need, stop stressing about things I can't control, and find joy even when it seems like the whole world is donkey punching me in the face.

I think most of us can agree that 2016 was a huge heaping pile of disappointments and terror so the first step in being better is learning to let things go. I'm admittedly not the best at this. I'm an emotional crockpot-I let things stew sometimes. I am going to try and make a conscious effort to let go of anything and anyone hindering my overall growth and happiness. Life is far too short to be unhappy or let those around you bring you down. So here's to letting go, putting in the work and being better.

Follow along over the next few weeks-I'm headed back to Iceland next Friday and I expect the frigid tundra is going to make for some interesting content ha!
